It will alarm you to know that poor dental hygiene is a major factor in causing diabetes and heart diseases, add the VAT and high unemployment and stress is added to the mix. So you can see why there are so many sick people on the island. To target sugar as a prohibited substance by making it more expensive is a provocation, and in a way creates even more consumption.
