Five years ago Cinnamon productions brought to life a vision which served to destigmatize – a show featuring male models.
The first Island Hunk competetion was born as an event to promote young men in our society who are eager to make a positive impression. Ahead of the event, the young men are groomed in various areas including physical fitness, public speaking and general etiquette, among other things.
This year Island Hunk is back with an added twist. Ahead of the main event, Island Hunk was turned into a TV reality show which has been airing on Calabash TV and DBS. During the episode the contestants were posed with various challenges on their journey toward the final.
The competition takes place at the Golden Palm Event Centre in Rodney Heights on Friday March 6, 2015. That evening six confident, powerful, motivated young men will take up the challenge. The main prize willl be a scholarship from Monroe college with other prizes for the contestants’ charity of choice. Friday’s event will also feature tastings from sponsors and other entertainment features not to be missed.
