It’s no longer in question. Ubaldus Raymond was informed this morning that his resignation as a senator and Cabinet minister has been accepted by Prime Minister Allen Chastanet. Last Thursday, Mr. Raymond was the special guest on TALK with Rick Wayne on DBS. At that time he acknowledged he had sent the prime minister a note expressing his “intention to resign” two Monday’s ago. The prime minister himself told reporters he had no comment on the matter. Shortly afterward the AG’s office announced an investigation into the how Raymond’s phone conversations came into the public domain, and why—among other questions. More details in Saturday’s STAR.
