Jail sentence for drug smuggler

On Thursday 17th May 2012, The Prisoner’s Escort Team of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force arrested one male individual namely Dunstan Paul of Belle Vue, Vieux Fort for attempting to smuggle Marijuana to a prisoner who was making a court appearance but is a prisoner at the Bordelais correctional Facility.
Reports indicate that he had in his possession two suspicious looking boxes of juice, upon close examination, the officers realized that the boxes consisted of what appeared to be Marijuana. The said incident took place near the First District Court on Laborie Street.
On Friday 18th May he was charged for the Possession of a Controlled Drugs and Possession with the Intent to supply Controlled Drugs and was taken before the court. He was sentenced to serve two years on each of the charges.
