Jamaica to host 10th ILO Meeting of Caribbean Ministers of Labour

Caribbean Labour Ministers at the ninth ILO meeting back in 2015.

The 10th ILO Meeting of Caribbean Ministers of Labour, organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in collaboration with the Government of Jamaica, will be held on 23-24 February 2017, Kingston, Jamaica.

The Meeting held every two years provides Ministers with responsibility for Labour, Permanent Secretaries and high-level officials of the English- and Dutch-speaking Caribbean the opportunity to discuss labour issues that are of mutual concern to the region. Representatives of the Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL) and the Caribbean Employers’ Confederation (CEC) will also be in attendance.

The Hon. Shahine Robinson, Minister of Labour and Social Security, Jamaica and Guy Ryder, Director-General, ILO, will address the Opening Ceremony.
