Junior Achievement’s partner, Bank of St. Lucia International Ltd (BOSLIL), made a donation of a Xerox printer to the Grande Reviere Primary school in celebration of their 10th anniversary on Friday July 4th 2014.
During the presentation, 12 BOSLIL team members entertained students and guests to a pantomime entrepreneurship skit depicting the importance of an education. Business Development Officer, Mr. Elden Edward motivated students to “Dream, Believe and Achieve” and urged them to work hard and persevere for whatever they want to accomplish in life.
Gabriella Mc Gowan, Grade 5 student, gave an inspiring testimonial about her participation in JA stating, “the JA Our City program has helped me be more confident and have a better understanding of the importance of saving, the difference between my needs and wants and now I’m aspiring to open my own restaurant”.
JA Alumni and Board member and Operations Supervisor of Bank of St. Lucia International, Mrs. Kaluwa Maitre Avril, confirmed her company’s commitment to youth development particularly at the Grande Riviere Primary School saying, “though the country is facing some rough economic times, BOSLIL remains dedicated to youth development and hopes that the printer will better assist the principal and teachers in execution of their duties.”
Vote of thanks were delivered by Angelique Richardson, Grade 3 student, who thanked BOSLIL for their involvement in the Junior Achievement Program and for their commitment in youth mentorship.
