Hundreds of children participated in the annual Junior Carnival on Sunday 10th July, 2011, which started at 2pm, first parading through the city center in Castries before ending up at the Vigie Sports Complex. Hundreds more showed up at the venue to show their support for the future of Lucian mas. There, the five participating bands (six in the individual category) paraded before the audience, enjoying themselves to their Soca songs of choice for 2011. The bands, Rituals carnival band, St Lucian Spirit carnival band, Dynamic Kids, Just Us Kids, Charmalions and La Mosaique participating only in the individual category, put on a splendid display for the judges.
The first band parading before the judges was Rituals with their theme Glory of the Ganges which was displayed in two sections; Bollywood and Bhangra.
