Kenny says that the Banards did not benifit from slavery, really? How do you think they becme so rich in England? Slavery in the West Indies, it does not matter where the plantation house was located, England or St. Lucia same thing. So Kenny is a red slave driver of 2014. War? What so ever do you mean war? How can a fat chat boutique go to war? Kenny is all noise, remember his “Better Days”, I am still waiting for them. To me Kenny loves the idea of being a leader, a bossla who can walk around and order people to bow, but other than that he knows nothing about leading a country. He only knows how to be a fat cat.

Henry Giraudy’s manner can be described in part as you say,pungently sarcastic,you refer to his biting wit and his unflinching dertermination not to suffer fools gladly ‘ . I used to enjoy his deliveries during those days when things were a lot different.He came across as a man in total control ,but i would hardly say that he was arrogant.He exhibited the masculinity of the men of the time,including my father,those were men whose mere word carried sufficient weight to get things done with a minimum of rara as you quoted .
as for your succinct use of the word avoirdupois …well that had me rolling over in laughter.I rather like your description for the UWP. It’s new catchname suggests volumes including sudden and catastrophic economic collapse.How interesting.
