Stabbing in Castries – La Clery man dies

Body of Desmond Rose, alias Stupid was cordened off by Police on the Sidewalk near CDC Block D.

On Friday, June 17 police responded to a report of a stabbing which occurred about 4pm near the Babonneau bus station at Reclamation Ground in the vicinity of the Castries Market.

Reports indicate that a group of men were involved in an altercation when three of them were stabbed multiple times about the body. They are: 18-year-old Denzel Rose of La Clery, Castries, Dillan Alphonse also 18 years old of La Clery and Desmond Rose who was the father of Denzel Rose.  Desmond Rose was later pronounced dead on the scene by a medical doctor while his son Denzel and Dillan Alphonse are currently nursing their injuries at the Victoria Hospital, Castries.

There are two young men in police custody in connection with this incident. A post mortem has been scheduled to be performed on the body of Desmond Rose.
