Lancers FC settle for a tie

With a Faux A Chaud defender in pursuit a player with Lancers FC tries maintaining possession of the ball.

Action in the Castries Super League continued on Thursday afternoon at the SAB Sports Facility, when Lancers FC placed their five game winning streak on the line against Faux A Chaud.
Nigel Berew of Faux A Chaud shocked the large Lancers crowd, when he netted his first goal for the tournament in the sixth minute. To everyone’s surprise, Lancers FC got an equalizer seconds later through an own goal after a blunder by the Faux A Chaud defense. Lancers FC piled on the pressure and were rewarded in the 39th minute through a strike from Bagio Lewis.
In the second half, Faux A Chaud played with more purpose and through Nigel Berew’s second goal got a well deserved equalizer. Both teams squandered their opportunities during the dying stages of the game. When the final whistle blew the teams were locked at 2 goals each.
Action in the SSDF sponsored Castries Super League continues at 2:00 pm on Sunday when Fire Services take on Bisee Lions.
