Lancers still unbeaten!

A player with Lancers FC goes after a free ball with two FC Pioneers players in pursuit.

FC Lancers maintained their unbeaten record in the Castries Super League, after thrashing FC Pioneers 4-0 on Wednesday at the Sab Sporting Facility.
After a scoreless first half, Lancers resumed with a renewed vigor that saw Bagio Lewis, Michael Marshal, Arthur August and Lynch Isidor each get the ball past the FC Pioneers custodian.
With the tournament approaching its end, Lancers FC continue demonstrating a very attractive and attacking style of play, confirming their quality and justifying their recent promotion to the SLFA’s Gold Division.
In action on Tuesday, old rivalries were rekindled at the Sab Sporting Facility when VSADC took on NYAH in an eagerly anticipated affair. The first half was scoreless as both teams approached the game with caution.
When play resumed in the second half, NYAH piled on the pressure only to be foiled by a resilient VSADC defence and poor finishing by their forwards. During the dying minutes of the game, a strike from the right boot of Steve Rhone made the difference and ensured VSADC left with all three points.
The tournament continues this weekend at 4pm when Police will take on NYAH.
Supporters of the Super League are asked to note, that the Faux A Chaud versus Fire Services game has been postponed to facilitate friends of Ricky “Ti Ricky” Montoute of Faux A Chaud to attend his sister’s funeral. The executive and affiliates of the Castries Football Council send their condolences to Montoute and his entire family during this difficult period of bereavement.
