LEEBORATION THE CONCERT IS COMING

Tomorrow, the “Artists for Leebo” movement will host the “Leeboration” concert at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground from 2pm. A showcase of the works of Francis “Leebo” De Lima will feature three live bands and a stellar cast of close to fifty Saint Lucian artistes performing calypso, jazz, R&B, reggae and soca music. “Leeboration” will open with a performance from jazz artiste Rob “Zi” Taylor who, along with Adam Gilmour and Leebo, was one of the founding members of the band Kronic Heights. It will end with an all-star performance of Leebo’s hit song ‘Unconditional Love’.

Artistes including Teddyson John, Superman HD, Sedale, Ezra d’Funmachine, Mongstar, Invader, Mysterio and Nerdy will be backed up by DYP while others like Shayne Ross, Claudia Edward, Linda “Chocolate” Berthia, Ken Hardy and Stacy Charles will be accompanied by Ronald “Boo” Hinkson and his band. The EvaLucian band will also back up Arthur, Menell, Trevor Dornelly and Michael Robinson.

In addition, Meshach, Ashanti, Black Pearl, Mighty and Subance will perform as well as Barbara Cadet and Sir Lancelot.

This grand concert has been designed to produce an all star cast of DJ HP and the Kronic Heights crew who will take the audience on a trip down memory lane with songs like ‘Samsung Blue’, ‘One Kiss’ and ‘I Deh’.

The “Leeboration” concert will also feature dance company Silver Shadow Dancers, a modeling segment and Aimran Simmons of the famed Diamond Steel Orchestra on pan.

Dubbed as a family affair, children under 12 will enter free into the event that will include face painting, a bouncy castle and a raffle of donated items from Anthony’s Jewelry, Diamonds International, St Lucia Distillers and Sandals.

There will also be a live telethon aspect of the show that will begin at 4 p.m..

Tickets for “Leeboration” cost $20 and can be purchased at The Cell Castries, Baywalk and Vieux Fort as well as Steve’s Barbershop.
