Major corporate support for Spencer

World class high jumper Levern Spencer is receiving corporate support for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.

Presuming things went according to plan, St Lucia’s world ranked high jumper Levern Spencer was the beneficiary of major corporate support over the weekend, as she continues to prepare for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games schedule for London, England, next July.
Earlier this year, Spencer became the first St Lucian to qualify for the upcoming Olympics. Today (Saturday) a special committee formed by her management team, launched a new project called “Levern London 2012,” with the Olympian herself being present at this launching ceremony.
The project aims to provide Spencer with all the necessary resources in order to perform at her best during the rest of her career, with particular focus on the 2012 Olympics. During today’s ceremony, various corporate partners are expected to unveil their areas of support,  which includes their specific  areas of athletic development as well as some new contractual advertising campaigns, using her image for marketing and endorsement of selected projects.
Spencer, who is the Caricom record holder and the Caribbean’s leading high jumper of all time, holds numerous records and titles. She recently added some more silverware to her collection after winning the gold medal at the recent CAC Championships in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, making it her fourth gold medal overall at this championship.
St Lucia’s world ranked high jumper is elated at this new initiative and said: It has helped me feel even more motivated as I set off on the road to London 2012 and beyond, always aiming to make my country St Lucia proud.”
She reiterated her appreciation for the continuous support of her family, coaches, management, the St Lucia Athletics Association, St Lucia Olympic Committee, sponsors, the St Lucia public and last but by no means least the Government of St Lucia through the Department of Youth & Sports, in helping her attain great heights in her track and field career to date.
