Marigot Bay Resort and Marina gets set for the culmination of Creole Heritage Month with “Kwéyòl En Mygo”, slated from 7am to 7pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Marigot Bay Marina Village. Following the success of last year’s event, the management and staff are gearing up for a lively crowd who’ll enjoy the best Marigot Bay Resort has to offer.
With a cornucopia of traditional authentic dishes served throughout the day there will be rousing Creole music, live entertainment, local crafts and cultural demonstrations. This Jounen Kwéyòl celebration promises to be filled with wholesome, family-oriented fun.
Patrons of Kwéyòl En Mygo can also look forward to capturing prizes for best Creole wear, which includes prizes like Marigot Bay Resort day passes and dinner for two. The first fifty guests to arrive will also receive a complimentary local drink.
“Creating a sense of belonging and making connections with our local culture is really important to the team at Marigot Bay Resort and Marina. All year long we are proud to provide authentic local experiences through our spa treatments, resort activities and culinary offerings, therefore, showcasing our heritage to the Saint Lucian public for Jounen Kwéyòl is a pleasure the team looks forward to every October,” says Director of Operations, Ms. Perle Flavien.
In addition to the Creole weekend event, the independent luxury resort will continue to host its signature weekly activities during the month of October, including the popular all-you-can-eat Lucian barbecue featuring limbo dancing, fire-eaters and hot Soca music every Tuesday night at the Hurricane Hole Restaurant.
There’s also Sushi Sunday at The Brut Bar by the pool which showcases Marigot Bay Resort’s freshest local catch with a Lucian twist. Bon Temps drinks specials are available all evening during our happy hours starting at the Brut Bar from 4 to 5pm, continuing to The Hurricane Hole from 5pm-6pm and The Grill at 14° 61° from 6 to 7pm, finally rounding up at The Rum Cave from 9 to 10pm.
Just a twenty minute drive from Castries, Marigot Bay Resort, Spa and Marina is the perfect weekend day out for all the family, so make sure you add Kwéyòl En Mygo to your calendar and come say “bonjour” to the team!
