M&C Group of Companies donated $5,000 to C.A.R.E (Center for Adolescent Renewal & Education.). This monetary donation will be used to ensure the enrollment of at least eight young people into the program. This month marks the 20th Anniversary of the C.A.R.E program which presently has five training centers island-wide (Gros Islet, Odsan, Soufriere, Mabouya, Anse La Raye). The C.A.R.E program aims to foster positive attitudes in young people towards themselves, others, work and work related situations. Students enrolled in the program are taught life skills as well as a technical skill, which can be anything from carpentry to refrigeration. Graduates of C.A.R.E are therefore equipped to not only earn a living but also to become contributing members of society.
M&C Group of Companies has for many years supported the C.A.R.E program and congratulates them on their 20th Anniversary. While presenting the monetary donation to C.A.R.E. Marella Devaux, Group Marketing Manager of M&C Group of Companies, acknowledged the continued hard work and dedication of the C.A.R.E staff and volunteers and thanked them for the positive impact they have made and continue to make in the lives of St Lucia’s youth.
