When it comes to the name William or add the “s” at the end if you wish but one thing remains constant – TENNIS.
Be it Venus or Serena or our very own young talent Meggan William – tennis and making history with those names is endless. Endless possibilities, endless effort, endless talent and endless faith.
Meggan captured the title of “Most Promising Girl” when the curtains came down on the 2014 Coca Cola/Lime Tennis Tournament.
In the pre coke tournament she captured the winning trophy for girls 16’s Singles, doubles with her fellow Leon Hess school mate – Hannah Fessal and mixed doubles with her training partner Adriel Bousquet.
Hoping to have captured the 14’s title for the first time on home soil, Meggan went on to reach the semi finals in that category when she was stopped short by Vincentian counterpart Gabriella Benn losing in a close and aggressively fought encounter going down 7-9- 4-2. Great effort was put into her game but it was not meant to be.
Meggan continued her efforts in the girls 14’s doubles when she teamed up with Sharise of Antigua to move on to the semi finals when she was again stopped short being defeated by the Benn sisters of St Vincent 1-4, 2-4.
At the end of it all, her efforts and talent couldn’t go unnoticed when she was crowned the 2014 Most Promising Girl.
Stayed tuned for a lot more news and record breaking stories of this young talented yet gifted tennis star!!!!
