Miss Fond St Jacques Pageant is Back

The Fond St Jacques community will be hosting carnival after years of being dormant, especially the queen show which persons looked forward to. This year, steered by the Fond St Jacques Development Committee, the community will be hosting its carnival activities which, by all responses and reports, promise to be a massive event.

Today, Saturday 15th August, the Carnival Queen Pageant will be hosted on the Fond St Jacques multipurpose court. Five young ladies in the persons of Miss Elsha Pascal – Miss Fond St Jacques Credit Cooperative Society, Miss Anna Henry – Miss Eroline Foods, Miss Anika Pascal-Gilbert – Miss Fond St Jacques Development Committee, Miss Maygan Pascal – Miss Soufriere Regional Development Foundation and Miss Martina Alexander – Miss SMJ Beverages, will be competing for the crown. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday 16th August, 2015 at 4:00 a.m. the Jour Overt will commence from the Fond St Jacques playing field to Soufriere Town. Later in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. will be the parade of bands and jump up. Two carnival bands are expected: “Hot and Swef” and “Phenomenal”.
