More Mothers and Children to benefit in Second Distribution of Funds from Soufriere Virtual Telethon

The Soufriere Leve Ede Team is keeping to its word and is happy to announce a second voucher distribution from the virtual telethon of May 24th 2020. Four hundred and seventy (470) mothers and their children will receive vouchers this time around. One hundred and twenty (120) mothers and their children will be benefiting from the Telethon for the first time with each receiving two $50 vouchers while three hundred and fifty (350) mothers will be given one $50 voucher.

The distribution centres and times are as follows:
Soufriere, Colobette, Zenon and Ravine Clair – Wednesday 15 July at The St. Isidore Hall –
9:00 am to 3:00 pm;
Fond St. Jacques – Thursday 9:00 to 12:00
Etangs/Bellefond/Chateau Belaire/Morne La Croix – Thursday 1:00pm to 3:00pm;
Bouton – Thursday 4:00 pm

In the previous round of distribution, Six hundred and twenty-five (625) mothers and over one
thousand four hundred (1400) children were the beneficiaries.

To date, the Soufriere Leve Ede organisers have collected an amount of $105, 859.26 from the Telethon. $39, 540.00 came from the Bank of Saint Lucia Account while $66, 319.26 was from the GoFundMe Account. The Bank of Saint Lucia Account remains open and the committee is taking steps to register Soufriere Leve Ede as a not for profit community organization.
