Muscles and bikinis on show tonight

Competitors at Vel’s Fitness Centre are pumped up ready to go for tonight’s National Bodybuilding Championships.

Bodybuilding fans male and female are in for a special treat tonight when the St Lucia Amateur Bodybuilding Association stage their National Championship at the National Cultural Centre.

The show, which starts at 7:00 pm, features competitions in the Novice and Intermediate Category. In addition this time around for the first time ever, there is a Bikini and Men’s Physique competition that will undoubtedly delight the audience. It should be pointed out that the two competitions mentioned have been approved by the International Federation of Bodybuilding.

The guest poser for the evening is Barbadian Andrew Jemmott who resides in the United States. Jemmott who turned pro in 2013, placed fourth in the 2011 NPC National Championships and as a junior placed third at the NPC Nationals Bodybuilding Fitness and Figure Contest.

Expect the competition in all categories to be highly competitive among the various gyms including La Borde’s, Vel’s Fitness Centre and Sidonie Brothers. One thing for sure the guys and gals at Vel’s Fitness Centre, are more than ready for the competition. Thursday evening after a light workout, they were flexing their muscles and could hardly wait for show time this evening.
