On July 13, 2013 Toastmasters International awarded Kit-Juelle Frank-Amoroso the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), a first for Saint Lucia and her home club, the NIC Toastmasters Club. The Distinguished Toastmaster award is the highest achievement for a Toastmaster requiring a mastery of both communication and leadership skills.
In order to become a Distinguished Toastmaster, the Toastmaster must present more than 40 speeches evaluated by other members and perform several different types of leadership positions. Kit-Juelle Frank-Amoroso’s leadership roles included: Area Governor, President and Club Sponsor.
“I am humbled by this achievement,” said Frank-Amoroso DTM. “The experience has enabled me to work together with fellow toastmasters from around the world. While we each have different personalities and speeds of learning, we are united in our quest for self-improvement.”
The new DTM received a special plaque from Toastmasters International on Friday July 18, 2013 to recognize the achievement. Kit-Juelle Frank-Amoroso joined Toastmasters in 2007 while in The Bahamas. Her home club is the NIC Toastmasters Club in Castries which is sponsored by the National Insurance Corporation. The club,
