This not exhaustive list of sins is an indictment of both political parties whose sole purpose was to maintain the status quo irrespective of party in power. Nothing has changed in relation to this present administration. Lamentably, The beat goes on.

I have said, and maintain the view, that our current problems can be attrributed to a confluence of poorly implemented bad public policy initiatives, visionless leadership, blatant corruption, disgusting nepotism, and cronyism, some quid pro quo corruption including the purchasing of derilect buildings, Frenwel, profligate spending, investment stifling taxation regiems to finanace said profligacy,…

I could not agree more with the answers to the implied question in that piece Rick: “How did we get here?”. The Prime Minister offered a superficial and self-serving answer in his dirge of a budget address. He blamed most of our current demise on the last administration’s misguided decision to acquiesce to the politically motivated bullying tactics of public sector unions to an unaffordable 14% pay increase while absolving his present and former administration of any blame. To that I say hogwash.

The then opposition leader was seen publicly expressing solidarity with the unions on the picket lines then, and who knows what other behind the scenes advice and encouragement he might have…
