As in previous years, the St Lucia Olympic Committee (SLOC) in keeping with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) ideal will once again commemorate Olympic Day on Sunday with a host of activities slated for the St Lucia Yacht Club.
Proceedings get underway at 8am with a road race beginning at the Top of the World (Marisule). From there participants go north along the highway all the way to the St Lucia Yacht Club entrance.
The road is just the beginning of things to come on this day. The St Lucia Yacht Club is the prime spot for several of the day’s sporting activities which include boxing, sailing, table tennis, karate, taekwondo and running fun events on the beach.
