The Pakistan team arrived here Friday afternoon in preparation for a Twenty20, five One Day Internationals (ODI) and Two Test Matches against the West Indies Cricket Team.
The visitors take on a revamped West Indies side led by Captain Darren Sammy, when they begin play April 21 in the Digicel Twenty20 right here at the Beausejour Cricket Ground (BCG). It will be followed by the First Digicel ODI April 23 at the BCG and the Second Digicel ODI at the same venue April 25.
After that it’s on to the Kensington Oval (Barbados) for the third ODI on April 28 and the fourth which takes place there May 2. The fifth ODI is schedule for May 5 at the Guyana National Stadium.
Guyana will also host The First Digicel Test from May 12-16, while the Second Digicel Test is schedule for Warner Park, St Kitts, from May 20-24.
Like the West Indies, Pakistan has also selected a number of young players for the tour and look to win the series against the West Indies.
When the Digicel Twenty20 gets underway here April 21, West Indies will field a team consisting of the following players: Darren Sammy (Captain), Christopher Barnwell, Devendra Bishoo, Darren Bravo, Andre Fletcher, Danza Hyatt, Ashley Nurse, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Krishmar Santokie and Lendl Simmons.
Prior to that Twenty20 encounter April 21 at the BCG, Pakistan will have a practice match April 18 against the University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor’s XI.
