PINEHILL WALK THIS SUNDAY

The 2015 Pinehill Funwalk will be held this Sunday August 23 and was not last Sunday as previously incorrectly published. The final day of registration for the event is this Saturday August 22 at registration locations, Baywalk Mall Rodney Bay and the William Peter Blvd Castries.

Peter & Company Ltd, local distributors of Pinehill Milk & Juices and Banks Holdings Ltd., producers of Pinehill Milk & Juices are both behind the Pinehill Funwalk 2015.

Pinehill Funwalk started in 1999 with merely a few hundred walkers. Today, it has grown to become the single largest participatory sporting event on island, with a record of over 5,500 registered participants last year. “Truly, the yearly increase in numbers, is evident that Pinehill Funwalk has become a movement not simply a funwalk but has drawn and attracted a loyal movement of Pinehill funwalkers – all walking for health, fitness and fun,” says Shari Isaac- Popo- Brand Manager

Partnering with the organizers and celebrating this year’s 16^th Pinehill Funwalk Event are corporate sponsors Digicel and Radio Caribbean International. The 2015 Pinehill Funwalk will start at 6:30am near the Saab Playing Field, Vigie, Castries and participants will traverse from Vigie on to the John Compton Highway, continue along the Gros Islet Highway and then left onto the Pigeon Island Road to finish at Pigeon Island National Park.

At Pigeon Island National Park, participants will be treated to a light breakfast and greeted by a health, wellness and fitness fair which consists of various partners including health associations, nutritionists, local spas and gyms, who inform and advice participants of the means and benefits of living healthy and more active lives.

Pinehill Funwalk 2015, Join the Movement! promises to be as challenging, exciting and of course fun-filled as with previous years with a few surprises in store for walkers. Among the grand prizes (EC$30,000 worth) are two tickets to London and two tickets to New York.
