Police officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, Vieux Fort, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of twenty- one (21) year old Jesus Blanchard of West Hall Group/Shine Drive, Vieux Fort.
A report of a shooting at the intersection of Hospital Street and Jesse Street, was referred to the Vieux Fort Police Station for investigation, about 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2022.
The victim, Jesus Blanchard, was transported to the St. Judes Hospital via ambulance where he succumbed. A post mortem is scheduled for a subsequent date.
