Police Appeal for Information in Vieux-Fort Homicides

Homicide at Clarke Street, Vieux Fort

Royal St. Lucia Police Force – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of twenty-eight (28) year old, Delan Ruport Bastien of Bruceville, Vieux Fort.

A report of a shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Delan Ruport Bastien was transported to St. Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. He was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for a subsequent date. A second individual who is a minor sustained an apparent gunshot wound. And is in stable condition at a medical facility.

Homicide at Bruceville, Vieux Fort

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of sixty-one (61) year old, Rufus Stephen of Bruceville, Vieux Fort.

A report of a shooting was to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 9,2023.

Rufus Stephen was then transported to the St.Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. He was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

Homicide at Bruceville, Vieux Fort.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of fifty-nine (59) year old, Loraine Savery of Bruceville, Vieux Fort.

A report of a shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Loraine Savery was then transported to the St.Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds to her body. She later was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for a subsequent date.
