Police Confirms Body Found at Cap Estate that of Omar Defrietas

A report of a missing person was made of Omar Defrietas on Thursday January 5,2023. On Tuesday April 1, 2023 a motorcar which was later revealed to be that of Omar Defrietas was recovered in a pond at Cap Estate, Gros Islet.  Skeletal remains were discovered in the motorcar. On Friday April 19, 2023 about 11:30 a.m. samples for toxicological testing were sent for DNA analysis.

Officers of the Major Crimes Unit received confirmation on the identity of the body found in a car at Cap Estate, Gros Islet in the pond, on April 1,2023 of missing male of Careille, Castries as Omar Defrietas.
