Police Discovers Firearm in Augier

On Monday, November 30, 2015 police conducted an operation in Augier, Vieux Fort.

During the operation, police searched the dwelling house of Ryan Cooman of Augier, Vieux Fort.

As a result, the police discovered one .45 caliber semi-automatic Glock pistol with ten (10) rounds of ammunition.

Cooman was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

He made an appearance before the Second District Court on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 where he was granted bail in the sum of EC$6000.00 on each charge. He was ordered to surrender his travel documents and must report to the Vieux Fort Police Station on Monday and Friday before 6:00 p.m.

The matter was adjourned to January 26, 2016
