Police are currently investigating the death of 26-year-old Cuthbert Denis aka “Shat” of Black Mallet, Marchand, Castries, who was shot while in the company of three other young men who were also shot during a shooting which occurred about 10:15pm, on Friday 28th October 2011, at Black Mallet.
Reports indicate that on the aforesaid day, four men were in an area at Black Mallet, when three masked individuals approached them and fired several shots in their direction, hitting them multiple times about the body. They were all taken to the Victoria Hospital where Cuthbert Denis succumbed to his injuries about 4:45am, on Sunday the 30th of October, 2011. The other three men who sustained serious injuries are: 26-year-old Lance Phillip a.k.a “Himan” also of Black Mallet, 24-year-old Linus Ange aka “Tian” of Belmont, Dennery and 29-year-old Sherlan Joseph aka. “Ruben” of Maynard-Hill, Castries. They are currently admitted at the aforementioned hospital.
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident but police are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information to contact the Major Crime Unit at telephone number: 456-3754 or the Marchand Police Station at telephone number:4563885.
