Police Investigating Murder of Piaye Resident

Royal St. Lucia Police Force – On Monday, October 09, 2023, about 2:30.m, Officers attached to the Laborie Police Station received information about a foul stench emanating from a residence belonging to Alexander Dane Brown of Piaye, Laborie.

The Officers proceeded to Piaye and upon arrival proceeded to the residence of Alexander Brown. There they discovered the lifeless body of a male individual lying in a supine position on a mattress on the floor, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition. The scene was processed by the Scenes of Crime Officers of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and the body was later pronounced dead by a Medical Practitioner

A Post Mortem examination was later conducted on the body of the deceased which revealed multiple fractures to the skull and two penetrating wounds, one to the left side of his head and one to the back of his head. It was later concluded that the fifty-four (54) year old Piaye resident, Alexander Dane Brown also known as “Danny died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigations are ongoing.
