Post Mortem Results of Recent Homicides

On Saturday, September 14, 2013 a post mortem examination was conducted on the body of 19 year old Chereece Benoit of La Feuille, Monchy.

The results indicate Asphyxia secondary to Ligature Strangulation.

Benoit’s body was discovered at her residence on Thursday September 12, 2013 about 8:45 p.m.

Police are actively pursuing investigations into her homicide.

 

The lifeless body of Chereece Benoit being removed from the Monchy home where she was found dead last Thursday evening.

A post mortem examination conducted on the body of 27 year old Cuthbert Joseph also known as Golda of Aux Leon, Dennery on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 indicates he died from Hemorrhagic Shock secondary to a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred on Saturday, September 8, 2013 at Aux Leon Dennery. The deceased and his companion, 62 year old Phillip Hippolyte, also known as Ras Mazumba of La Pearle, Dennery  were accosted by five armed men. As a result, Joseph sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body.

 

In relation to the investigation of this homicide, officers have uprooted in excess of 50,000 Marijuana plants on over 17 plantations in several communities in Dennery.

 

Currently 5 persons are in police custody assisting police with investigations.
