February 4th 2016, Castries StLucia; As the Trinidad Carnival 2016 climaxes St.Lucia’s Teddyson John (TJ), who has been enjoying much success with his hit single ‘Allez’, is also set to compete on the world’s greatest soca stage for International Soca Monarch. TJ who on Wednesday along with other finalists selected their order of appearance, will appear at number thirteen (13) on Friday February 5th for the International Soca Monarch competition also dubbed ‘Fanastic Friday, at the Hasley Crawford Stadium. Having endured a very intense schedule of countless performances TJ is nonetheless ready to execute a performance like never before .
Earlier this week TJ delivered a historic performance at one of the most anticipated shows for Trinidad Carnival ,Machel Monday for a crowd of well over 50,000 patrons. This is the first a St.Lucian has shared this stage with Machel Montano and TJ did it with ease. He further moved to deliver yet another ground-breaking performance at Kes Tuesday on the Rocks.
TJ expressed his excitement as he gets ready for Fantastic Friday saying ” This journey has been beyond amazing.I have used every opportunity and every stage to better the performance than the one before whether it’s a concert, fete, corporate event, school visit or charitable event. Without a doubt I will deliver my best on that stage tonight. It’s not just Teddyson John on this stage it’s St.Lucia and so I intend to represent my country and my people to the fullest. I want to express my grattitude again to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey and no matter the outcome we should be proud of what we have been able to accomplish as a country. ”
TJ will go up against eighteen other finalists and defending monarch Olatunji .
