Prime Minister to Present Estimates of Expenditure 2019/2020

A Sitting of the House of Assembly is scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. where Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation and External Affairs, Honourable Allen Michael Chastanet will present the Estimates of Expenditure 2019/2020.

The Prime Minister is expected to review Saint Lucia’s revenue and expenditure performance for the previous year as well as present the budgetary allocations of the 2019/20. The debate on the Estimates is scheduled to continue into Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12, 2019. A report of the Meeting of the Standing Finance Committee will also be presented.

BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Assembly do adopt the Report of the Standing Finance Committee on the Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 2019/2020 in the sum of One Billion, Five Hundred and Ninety-one Million, Five Hundred and Eighty-nine Thousand, ($1,591,589,000.00) dollars as a charge against the Consolidated Fund and other funds of the State of Saint Lucia.
