A Kwéyòl Literacy Course will be among the programmes offered by the FRC during Creole Heritage Month in October. The three-day event is for persons who already speak and understand Kwéyòl, and who would like to be able to read and write the language.
The course of language instruction is organized by the Kwéyòl language committee of the FRC. It consists of three 3- hour sessions (From October 18 to 20, 2011) on basic information on the Kwéyòl language, with instruction in reading and writing. It is meant to be a practical course, aimed especially at persons in the commercial sector, who increasingly want to provide bi-lingual notices of their activities. Both groups and individuals are encouraged to book early for this popular programme.
The venue will be the Mount Pleasant headquarters of the FRC. Each teaching session runs from 5 to 8 pm.
