Saint Lucia has recorded two more homicides bringing the total for the year to 30 (inclusive of two police shootings). On Monday, Stephen Danny Severin was shot in La Caye, Dennery.
The Saint Lucia Fire Service’s Stacy Joseph told the STAR that at about 6:47 am, emergency personnel from the Dennery Fire Station responded to the scene where they found the victim, “lying in the back on a car with what appeared to be multiple penetrating wounds on his body. He was transferred to the ambulance where his wounds were treated and rapid emergency transportation was given to the St. Jude Hospital. He remained in a serious but stable condition en route to the hospital, and was left in the care of a medical practitioner.” Severin succumbed to his injuries on Monday evening. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is also investigating the discovery of a lifeless body found at Trouya, Gros Islet this morning. The victim has been identified as Cleus Alfred from Ravine Macock.
