The dedicated team of karatekas hailing from the Cobra Karate and Self Defense Dojo, Kaizen Shotokan Karate School, and Ikikata Shotokan Karate School triumphantly returned to Saint Lucia on Sunday, March 3rd, following their participation in the 10th edition of the Caribbean Open K24 Karate Tournament in Martinique. The tournament, held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, marked the team’s inaugural regional appearance in the World Karate Federation (WKF) circuit for the year, with their sights set on the upcoming event scheduled for May in Guadeloupe.
Despite contending with seasoned competitors from Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guyana, and Brazil, the team of 24 athletes showcased their prowess, earning a commendable collection of medals in various categories:

The regional tournaments serve as integral components of the comprehensive developmental program for the three dojos, contributing significantly to the growth and refinement of their martial arts skills.
Accompanied by 20 dedicated parents and supporters, the team expressed collective awe at the elevated level of competition and the impeccable organization of the tournament in Martinique.
