Saint Lucia’s airports to remain closed on Friday

Given the upgrade of the system to a Category 1 Hurricane, the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Port Authority (SLASPA) informs that after consultation with the Management of the Meteorological Services on the potential impact of Hurricane Elsa, operations at both George F.L Charles and Hewanorra International Airports will be closed today Friday July 02, 2021.

An assessment will be made of the Airfield and Terminal conditions at the earliest when it is deemed safe to do so. A NOTAM will be disseminated to aviation community. Passengers are encouraged to contact their respective airlines for updates on flights.
