Miss SLHTA 2012: Miss Sandals Resorts International, Gladys Noel

The Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) congratulates Sandals Resorts International on their successful bid for the MISS SLHTA 2012 Crown. The show was held on Saturday, September 08, 2012 with the theme “Celebrating Icons of Saint Lucia’s Arts and Culture” seeking to forge stronger links between tourism and culture. The five contestants representing Hotels, Destination Management Companies and other Allied Members exhibited a variety of talents and passion as they competed in four categories, including an exhibition of the Wob Dwiyet, for the coveted Crown. Contestants hailed from the following companies: Miss Duty Free Caribbean Holdings – Glenda Willabus. Miss Jalousie Plantation, Tracy Nicholas. Miss Sandals Resorts International, Gladys Noel. Miss Sea Spray Cruises, Merlika Modest. Miss Windjammer Landing Beach Resort, Nadege Maximin. The Saint Lucian Icons represented on the night were Mr Luther Francois, Mr Kendel Hippolyte, Sir Dunstan St Omer, Mrs. Teresa Hall and Ms Joyce Auguste and were also in attendance at the show as the Guests of Honour for the evening. The results of the Miss SLHTA Pageant 2012 are as follows; MISS SLHTA 2012: Miss Sandals Resorts International, Gladys Noel (pictured). 1st Runner Up: Miss Windjammer Landing Beach Resort, Nadege Maximin 2nd Runner Up: Miss Duty Free Caribbean Holdings, Glenda Willabus. The MISS SLHTA Pageant celebrated its 21st year and seeks each year to raise awareness and advocate the importance of Saint Lucian culture in Tourism.
