Sandals Returning Guests Donate Over 50lbs of Educational Material to Sandals Foundation

Sandals returning guests Sue and Larry Krause, veteran educators from Kent in the United Kingdom, have brought their love for education and learning to Saint Lucia.

The couple, staying at Sandals Regency La Toc, has donated over 50 pounds of an assortment of books to the Sandals Foundation in time for new upcoming school year.

The donation comes in keeping with the Sandals pack for a purpose initiative that allows Sandals guests to give back to the local communities with minimal restrictions.

The two have confessed to having remarkable Caribbean-born students with tremendous potential for learning. They believe that such minds must be embraced and nurtured from the early stages.

This is their fourth such donation to the Sandals Foundation.

The items will be donated to deserving children through a drive that will take place shortly.

The Sandals Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts International (SRI), the Caribbean’s leading family-owned resort company.  The nonprofit organization was created to continue and expand upon the charitable work that Sandals Resorts International has undertaken since its founding in 1981 to play a meaningful role in the lives of the communities where SRI operates throughout the Caribbean. The Sandals Foundation funds projects in three core areas: education, community and the environment. One hundred percent of the monies contributed by the general public to the Sandals Foundation go directly to programs benefiting the Caribbean community.
