The National Federation of Seventh-day Adventist Community Services is a non-profit ministry that oversees and coordinates the work and activities of the various Seventh-day Adventist Community Services on the Island of Saint Lucia. The six Community Services zones and are made up of various districts.
The Community Services Department is charged with the responsibility of meeting the needs of the less fortunate in the various communities in St Lucia and providing rapid response after a disaster.
On Sunday 12th December 2021, the National Federation of Seventh-day Adventist Community Services will host its virtual telethon under the theme; Sacrificing for the Cause #Èpi lafwa to raise funds to establish the first National Community Services Center on the island of St Lucia.
The action begins from 10am and will be streamed via LNO Studios, Saint Lucia Mission of SDA Facebook & YouTube pages and Prayz FM radio.
The former mission office building will be the home for this Community Services Center. Services will be offered by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
Individuals can begin donating via this online giving platform by using their credit or debit card.
They can also call Ps Lucius Philip at 1758-720-6841 or Meriah Joseph at 1758-719-1355 for other methods to donate.
The department continues to:
Provide physical care to senior citizens, disable and other persons needing assistance.
– Providing clothing items for the less fortunate.
– Providing nutritious meals to the needy in the various communities.
– Providing support and comfort for families in distress.
– Providing basic Health screening and Counselling services.
– Providing rapid assistance to various Government agencies and community groups in times of disasters such as hurricane, floods and fires.
