The Saint Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority (SLSWMA) wishes to inform all residents of the resumption of the regular residential waste collection service. Effective Monday, 22nd June 2020 all collection zones will revert to the preexisting collection schedule with the exception of the following:
Castries Inner:
-All areas which receive collection on Mondays will receive an additional collection on
Fridays.
– All areas which receive collection on Tuesdays will receive an additional collection on
Saturdays.
– Residents and government institution within the City of Castries (Central Business
District) will receive collection on Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays.
Laborie:
-Parc Estate, Gayabois, Morne Lezard, Tet Morne will receive collection on
Wednesdays.
Choiseul:
-Morne La Croix will receive collection on Wednesdays.
The Authority is also aware that residents island-wide have accumulated bulky waste material since the discontinuation of the service. As such, commencing July 2020 the SLSWMA will on a zonal basis carry out a mass bulk waste removal. Residents will be permitted to exceed the “two item per household limit”. Residents will be informed of this schedule in due course.
The waste disposal facilities will continue to operate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on holidays and remain closed on Sundays. The Authority extends its gratitude to the public for exercising patience and complying with the scaled-down
collection schedule.
