Sponsors on board for National Arts Festival

Sancha Raggie, Marketting Manager, Super J IGA Supermarkets makes the donation.

The pursuit of excellence, together with a spirit of innovation, change, growth and opportunity permeate the plans for the CDF’s National Arts Festival 2012 event which will be unveiled at the National Cultural Centre from 8pm on Wednesday 8th February, 2012.
The purpose of the Festival’s “Inspiring through the Arts: The Journey”, to be launched next month, is to provide artists at the Festival with a platform to network with other performers, and to acquire and sharpen the skills necessary to conduct their craft as a profession.

This year’s Festival, running from February 8th to April 1st, will offer visitors a smorgasbord of national, regional and world premieres by Saint Lucians in theatre, dance, music, film and visual art. At the same time, some of Saint Lucia’s best productions over the past year have also been included in the programme to give visitors a window into what gives Saint Lucian art its vibrantly pulsating heartbeat.
Lucelec, Eastern Caribbean Financial Holdings (ECFH), Consolidated Foods Limited (CFL) and Saint Lucia Distillers announced last week that they will be contributing to the National Arts Festival sponsorship pool for the 2012 Festival.
Jennifer Gaston, Marketting & Communications Manager, St Lucia Distillers Group of Companies shows her company’s support.   The Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) feels that this partnership with the private sector strengthens our commitment to ensuring that we provide a festival of excellence and creates an avenue for artists to expose their talents and creativity. Their sponsorship will enable these projects to continue delivering on the Festival and CDF’s mutual commitment to the development of the arts in Saint Lucia.
