It would not be the first time it has been runoured that the rich and famous have bought our little island in the sun. And needless to say the rumours, however untrue, do wonders for attracting attention to our island. No doubt a celebrity deciding to vacation in Saint Lucia attracts more attention than the Tourist Board could buy.

The latest couple being encircled by a swam of paparazzi is rapper Kanye West and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. As Adele would say “rumour has it” the new couple is or will be (depending on the source) cozying up to each other in an exclusive hotel in Sourfriere on the island’s West Coast.

PerezHilton reports that “West has planned a £30,000 romantic getaway fit for a queen” and will “treat his new lovah to comforts only a five-man security team can give!” The two are also said to have a personal chef to cater to their every need in a private bungalow.

“Money is no object, he wants the best of everything,” said a source. “He is planning some romantic evenings and is relying on his chef to knock out some amazing seafood dishes to get them in the mood.”

The two are one of the flashiest celebrities in Hollywood and are known for having lavish dates.

Meanwhile, the Watch the Throne rapper is said to be so smitten with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star that a source told Us Weekly, “He thinks she’s his Beyonce!”

Kardashian is currently going through a divorce from NBA star Kris Humphries, so her stepdad, Bruce Jenner, is rumored to not be too happy about the new relationship.

TMZ reports that at a speaking engagement recently, someone asked Jenner what he thought about Kardashian and West, and he responded “I’m not that excited, but we’ll see. Kimberly and I have had a conversation about them and their potential relationship.”
