Today marked the start of the Atlantic Hurricane which ends November 30th.
The National Emergency Management Organization had warned individuals and their families to “resolve to be ready” this hurricane season.
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) has launched a preparedness website to help you accomplish that goal at www.weready.org
The website features a number of hazards that the Caribbean is vulnerable to including hurricanes, as well as tools to help execute crucial preparedness tasks such as assembling an emergency kit, formulating an individual and family plan and staying informed.

In the event that more than 21 named hurricanes occur in the Atlantic in a season, additional storms will take names from the Greek alphabet: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc.
