Last week’s trivia featured a photograph of Golden Hope Hospital. The picture was published with an accompanying article dated November 25, 2000. At the time one psychiatrist was dealing with 6,000 patients, and 150 in-house patients at the facility. The families of patients complained that treatments were inefficient. Golden Hope and Turning Point claimed lack of funding was to blame for inadequate resources for treatment. There were also not enough funds to fix the dilapidated buildings.
