A group of young students from Babonneau Comprehensive Secondary School were welcome visitors to the STAR on Thursday morning. Following a tour of the premises, the students, accompanied by two teachers, sat down with STAR publisher Rick Wayne for a short discussion of “persuasive writing.”

The talk encompassed several other topics including the latest reports of rape and the scourge of woman batterers in Saint Lucia. Afterward, the STAR publisher took several related questions from the teachers and the group, most of them young ladies who looked forward to becoming lawyers, a surgeon and a doctor. Finally, they posed with the publisher for a souvenir of their rewarding day.
