The St Lucia Jazz Festival is now also an arts festival and thus, there will be two separate fine art exhibitions. The St Lucia Tourist Board has issued an invitation for interested persons to be part of the official Tourist Board events by the submission of works for consideration for display at the following Jazz Festival Fine Art Exhibitions:
Fine Art Exhibition at Gaiety – May 8th and 9th and the Fine Art Exhibition at Pigeon Island National Landmark – 11th and 12th May. The categories of artwork accepted for consideration include painting and drawing, photography, sculpture, fiber art, conceptual art, illustration and literature.
A selection of the works chosen for display will be included in an official St Lucia Tourist Board Fine Art Catalogue. Artwork is insured for the events by the St Lucia Tourist Board and can be available for sale during the two events. Transacted sales carry a processing and handling fee of 15 percent of the sale price.
Due to printing of an official catalogue works would need to be submitted via email before April 25. Contact the SLTB via email at saintluciajazzandartsfestival@theinnergallery.com or call the Tourist Board for more information.
