[dropcap]P[/dropcap]olice are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Gregory Phillip alias Chucky, a forty five (45) year old resident of New Development, Soufriere.
On Saturday June 2, 2018, about 9:20 p.m. officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department at the Soufriere Police Station responded to a report of a suspicious death at the Etangs Wellness Centre in Soufriere.
The incident is alleged to have occurred about 8:50 pm on Saturday June 2, 2018 at Cresland, Soufriere where he was thereafter conveyed to the Etangs Wellness Centre and was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. A post mortem examination is scheduled for today Monday June 4, 2018.
One individual is currently in police custody in relation to this incident. Investigations are continuing into this matter The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force would like to extend condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The Royal St. Lucia Police Force is appealing to anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the nearest police station, or the Soufriere Police Station at 456 3620.
