Swimmers set records at OECS Championships

At the just concluded 22nd OECS Swimming Championships held at the Antigua Athletic Club, Antigua, the St Lucian swimmers set 12 new OECS swimming records on their way to a scintillating 12th OECS Swimming victory.

Reigning Junior Sportspersons of the Year, Jordan Augier and Siona Huxley led by example setting five records-Huxley with three records (50 Butterfly, 50 Backstroke & 100 Backstroke). Augier set two records (50 Backstroke & 100 Freestyle). 

   Thalia Bergasse (100 Backstroke), Katelin Samuel (50 Butterfly) and Ethan “Speedy” Dyke Elliot (50 Butterfly) set one record each. The remaining four records were set by the Girls 10 & Under and 15 & Over relays respectively in both the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relays. The Girls 10 and Under Relay Team consisted of: Tiah Arnold, Veronica Brown, Eden Crick, Katelin Samuel.
