Swimming results at CISC

St Lucia’s team at the Caribbean International Swimming Championships.

After four extremely competitive days at the Caribbean International Swimming Championships (CISC) held in Barbados from July 1-8, two Saint Lucia swimmers namely Jordan Augier and Runako Daniel, successfully gained their place in representing at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Swimming has been featured in every Commonwealth Games program since it began in 1930, with both male and female athletes competing. The swimming competition will take place at the Tollcross Aquatic Centre’s 50-metre pool over six days of the Games from July 23-August 3.

The Saint Lucia Amateur Swimming Association extends congratulations to Augier and Runako Daniel and also to the CISC team consisting of Terrell Monplaisir, Jyasi Daniel, Christopher Philips and Bradford Worrell on their hard work and determination shown at that meet.

Results: Day one of CISC 2014 Prelims Results: Terell Monplaisir, 100 Back, 1:14.71 (10th), 50 Free: 30 (17th). Jyasi Daniel, 50 Free, 27.18 (19th). Christopher Phillips, 100 Back, 1:08.57 (15th); 50 Free, 26.84 (17th). Finals results. Bradford Worrell, 100 Breast, 1:09.84 (fifth). Jordan Augier, 100 Breast, 1:09.29 (fourth). Runako Daniel, 200 IM, 2:21.46 (sixth).

Day two. Prelims results: Jyasi Daniel, 100 Fly 1:03:92 (10th). Runako Daniel 100 Fly 58:67 (fifth). Terrel Monplaisir, 100 Breast 1:25:44 (11th).
